The Special Ceremony of the 2567th Lord Buddha Memorial Day

His Excellency Ambassador Subedi of the Embassy of Nepal in Japan has invited me to participate in “The Special Ceremony of the 2567th Lord Buddha Memorial Day”.
Gautama Buddha was born in Lumbini, Nepal in 623 BC and preached a message of peace, non-violence, tolerance, and harmony.
In Buddhism, his birthday is celebrated as the “Hana-Matsuri” .
Japan and Nepal have enjoyed friendly relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1956 (67 years ago).
I had the opportunity to listen to a valuable lecture on Buddhism,
I am very happy that we could celebrate the birth of Buddha, the pride of Nepalese people, together through this ceremony.
