By 2024年1月11日January 18th, 2024Leaders News EN

Ms. Nanami Wakayama, a next-generation leader who connects Japan and Nepal and creates employment for 2,000 people in her strawberry fields, is currently conducting crowdfunding.

Crowdfunding deadline is January 18th. There are 7 days left.

Since the 2015 Nepal earthquake, Ms. Wakayama has been producing and selling low-pesticide strawberries 【HIMEBERRY】 in Nepal with the aim of creating local jobs and increasing income.

The strawberries are grown by contract farmers using low pesticides and low chemical fertilizers, but until now we have been unable to buy strawberries that are too small or damaged. Ms. Wakayama started making strawberry jam with the idea that she wanted to buy all the damaged strawberries that farmers had grown to the best of their ability.

After three years of development, She has finally completed the “Strawberry jam series for adults with spices that go well with alcohol.” She has started selling through crowdfunding.

From the crowdfunding page below, you can see Ms. Wakayama’s thoughts on the production of strawberry jam.
Please take a look at how HIMEBERRY was started in Nepal and how it has progressed so far.
