The seminar was held on the occasion of a visit to Japan by Mr. Sushil Bhatta, Chief Executive Officer, Investment Board Nepal, who spoke about the latest investment environment and business opportunities in Nepal. He encouraged Japanese companies to invest in Nepal, saying that Nepal is open to foreign investment, that foreigners and companies can own land, and that 100% of profits made in Nepal are guaranteed to be repatriated outside the country.

Speeches were given by Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, Member of the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament Nepal, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and a Japanese company (Nippon Cable Co., Ltd.) on successful business cases, giving us a valuable opportunity to learn about Nepal from multiple perspectives.

Currently, in Nepal, not only the tourism industry, but also the energy industry centered on hydroelectric power generation, and the abundant human resources that support IT outsourcing, the potential for IoT is increasing. However, Ambassador H.E. Dr. Subedi, who loves the great nature of Nepal, told us earnestly that the number of tourists has increased in recent years, and the problem of garbage from climbers has become an issue.

We were also able to speak with Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, wife of the former Prime Minister of Nepal and a Member of the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament Nepal, and we were able to lay our hearts together for a beautiful Asia.

It was a valuable opportunity for us to learn anew about Nepal’s charm and potential. In Asian countries including Nepal, I feel that along with economic development, there is a greater need for business models that can solve social issues together, such as the empowerment of women through employment promotion, improvement of children’s educational environment, and infrastructure development.

・Tourism x Development of lifeline infrastructure for Nepalese local residents

We would appreciate it if you could spread your antenna for investment in Nepal so that the people, women and children of Nepal can live healthier lives.

Thank you for your continued kindness and support.
