On April 4, 2025, the Asia Women Leaders Forum (AWLF) hosted an International Forum and the Japanese publication launch event of the book In Love with Death – Still With You at the International House of Japan in Roppongi, Tokyo.
The event brought together distinguished guests from various sectors, including politics, diplomacy, business, education, and culture. In addition to participants from Japan, prominent figures from India, Italy, Thailand, New York, and other parts of the world joined us, making this a truly meaningful gathering for international dialogue and cultural exchange. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and to those who continue to support AWLF’s mission.
The book In Love with Death was written by world-renowned Indian entrepreneur Satish Modi. Through a deeply personal narrative inspired by his encounter with a Japanese woman, the book explores the meaning of life, death, and true happiness. The Japanese translation was undertaken by AWLF President Ai Sasaki and Mr. Tsubasa Nakazawa.
During the event, a dialogue themed around “Views on Life and Death” took place, in which leaders from various countries engaged in heartfelt discussions that transcended cultural and philosophical boundaries. Many participants were visibly moved by the book’s core message—”It is through understanding death that a truly meaningful life begins.” For some guests who have experienced loss or are facing illness, the gathering became a moment of quiet hope and renewal.
