On Friday, May 8, 2026, we will host our 10th AWLF Online Summit via Zoom.
AWLF Online Summit is a recurring, dialogue-based series designed as “A Third Place to Connect with Asian Women Leaders.” It brings together participants across generations and borders to engage in meaningful conversations, learn from lived experiences, and reflect on leadership and life.
Our special guest for this session is Ms. Sangita Adhikari — a social leader who has spent nearly two decades building bridges between Japan and Nepal, championing the rights and wellbeing of Nepali women, and dedicating her life to the empowerment of those who are most often overlooked.
After coming to Japan in 2004 and studying IT, Ms. Adhikari has continued for nearly 20 years to support Nepali residents in Japan — providing consultation, daily life assistance, and emotional care to women affected by domestic violence, as well as guidance to students and newcomers navigating life in a foreign country. She is currently involved in the management of HUMAN RESOURCES Co., Ltd., which specializes in recruitment and support for Nepali talent, working to strengthen the human resource pipeline connecting Japan and Nepal.
Through multilingual engagement in Nepali, Japanese, English, and Hindi, she serves as a vital bridge between local communities and overseas networks. As Chair of the AWLF Nepal Committee, she contributes to women’s empowerment across borders and the development of next-generation leaders.
At this session, Ms. Adhikari will share her journey — of building trust across cultures, standing alongside those in need, and leading with love in the spaces where systems fall short.
The AWLF Online Summit is a dialogue-centered gathering, combining a keynote talk from our guest with interactive conversations among participants.
