On June 12, 2024, we had the honor of paying a courtesy visit to former Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama to express our gratitude and provide a report on the AWLF Asia Women Leaders International Pre-Summit 2024, for which he kindly extended his support through a message of encouragement.

Currently, former Prime Minister Hatoyama is dedicated to creating a society that celebrates differences and aims for open regional integration. He established the East Asian Community Institute (EACI) and hosts the World Fellowship Forum.

During our meeting, former Prime Minister Hatoyama emphasized the importance of fraternity for the future of Asia and repeatedly offered his strong support by saying, “I will support you.” We were deeply moved by his character, kindness, and passion for peace in Asia, as well as his profound insights.

We shared our mutual aspiration to unite Asia under the spirit of fraternity, fostering mutual exchanges rather than one-way communication, and expanding the circle of world peace. This vision resonates deeply with the goals of AWLF.

We sincerely appreciate the invaluable time granted to us and look forward to continuing our collaboration towards the path of peace.
